In the year 1969 some philanthropists of the Jain Community living in Delhi and New Delhi felt that they should establish an institution commemorating the Jain ideas. Digamber Jain Society for Child Welfare was organized and registered under the Societies Registration Act at Delhi.
Since its inception the society has undertaken and organized several projects for the welfare of children in Delhi and other states, besides establishing several public schools. During the International Children's year 1979, the Society further extended its activities to other states as well. Taking into consideration the pressing educational needs in the growing industrial city of Faridabad, the society gave a humble start to MODERN SCHOOL in a rented building in sector-16A. Its name & fame grew fast. By 1983 the school came to have its own spacious and imposing building on a huge, 8.3 acres of land.
